The project is being developed in collaboration with Dr Uma Rani, Senior Economist at the ILO

The adoption of new automation technologies, such as AI and Blockchains, are set to transform global service supply chains, reshaping how services are organised and delivered. This project explore how emerging technologies are reshaping work and employment in service supply chains, including  in IT consulting, BPO, LPO, KPO, and call centres. It will focus on both operational changes and the human impact, such as shifts in workers' tasks, professional status, career paths, and broader developmental effects.
This project aims to provide insights into how new technologies are reshaping service delivery, work, and labour markets, offering both opportunities and challenges for workers and businesses.
